More flexible parent product pricing

Shelva now gives you more control over how parent product prices appear on labels.

For products with multiple variants, supported label sizes can now show either compact From pricing or a full price range. You can also customize the prefix text, such as From or Starting at, to better match your store's merchandising style.

Cleaner sale label rendering

Sale labels now handle price ranges more cleanly.

Compare-at price ranges are displayed in a more compact way, helping prevent crowded or hard-to-read sale labels. This is especially helpful on smaller and medium-sized labels where space is limited.

Hub enable and disable controls

You can now enable or disable specific Hubs directly inside Shelva.

This gives you more control over which Hubs are active in your store, making it easier to manage hardware during setup, troubleshooting, or location changes.

More accurate label stock availability

Label stock now uses available inventory instead of broad on-hand inventory.

This makes stock availability in Shelva better reflect what can actually be sold or ordered.

Clearer Hub status display

Hub status display has been refined so connection states are easier to understand while managing hardware or troubleshooting label updates.

This release includes several merchant-facing fixes:

• 2.9" Bold sale labels display compare-at pricing more clearly
• Unpublished label sync history statuses are more accurate
• Product page actions behave better on mobile
• Sync-history modals have improved mobile spacing
• Label stock availability better reflects sellable inventory

1.5" Mini label support

Shelva now supports 1.5" Mini labels across the app.

Mini labels can now be used in label design, product pairing, simulated label flows, Shopify POS, and hardware ordering.

They are a great option for smaller products, tighter shelves, and displays where space is limited.

More reliable label updates

Shopify product changes now reach labels more reliably.

This includes updates to prices, compare-at prices, product data, and variants.

Shelva also handles quick repeated Shopify changes more smoothly, helping reduce stale label data.

More flexible hardware orders

The hardware order page is now clearer and more flexible.

You can now order specific accessory types and quantities instead of only requesting a generic accessory set.

Shelva also shows better stock context for starter kits, hubs, and labels, along with delivery estimates based on current inventory.

Mini label support in POS

Shopify POS now includes Mini label size selection, making it easier for store teams to pair and manage Mini labels directly from the sales floor.

This release includes several merchant-facing fixes:

• Variant price and compare-at price updates now reach physical labels more reliably
• Products with one real variant display the correct parent and variant context when expected
• Template names on the Products page now match the paired label size
• Unpair image retries now behave more safely
• 10.2" variant matrix labels update more reliably when variant data changes

Broken label management

Shelva now gives you a safer way to manage damaged or unusable labels.

Labels can now be marked as Broken from hardware management and POS workflows. When a label is marked broken, Shelva automatically prevents it from being paired, published, flashed, or reused by accident.

If the label is currently paired to a product, Shelva asks for confirmation before disconnecting it.

You can also mark a label as working again if it becomes usable later.

Shelva Quick Actions in Shopify POS

Shelva now includes a new Quick Actions tile in Shopify POS, giving store staff access to key label tools without needing to open a product first.

From the POS Label Command Center, staff can:

• Look up a label by scanning or entering its barcode
• View label status, battery, published state, and location context
• Flash, unpair, pair, publish, or mark a label as broken
• See labels that may need attention, such as low battery or low signal labels

This makes it much easier to manage labels directly from the sales floor.

Better product and label search

Search is now more flexible across Shelva.

You can now search the products page by paired label barcode, making it easier to find which product a specific label is connected to.

POS product search has also been improved to match SKU and barcode in addition to product title and vendor.

Unpaired products tab

The products page now includes a dedicated Unpaired tab, making it easier to find products that still need labels.

Cleaner POS label workflows

POS actions now provide clearer status updates when pairing, publishing, republishing, flashing, or reassigning labels.

Hub signal badges are also shown in more places, giving staff better context before taking action.

Improved hardware visibility

The hardware page now makes broken labels easier to identify and manage with a clear badge, a dedicated Broken filter, and the ability to return labels to working status when needed.

More reliable label design navigation

Label design links now open the intended size and template more reliably, making it easier to jump directly into the right design when editing templates.

Grand 10.2" label support

Shelva now supports Grand 10.2" labels directly in the app.

These larger labels are designed for showroom-style displays where you need more space for product details, variant information, pricing, and promotional messaging.

This gives merchants a stronger option for larger-format product displays, especially in categories like furniture, mattresses, appliances, and other high-consideration products.

In-app hardware order tracking

Hardware order progress can now be tracked directly inside Shelva.

Merchants can view the status of recent hardware orders, including whether an order has been placed, is in production, has shipped, or has delivery and tracking information available.

This makes it easier to follow hardware progress without needing to search through email threads.

Simpler product override behavior

Product overrides are now easier to manage.

Instead of relying on a separate visible master checkbox, Shelva now handles product override state automatically when individual override fields are enabled.

This keeps the configure page cleaner while preserving expected override behavior for titles, prices, secondary text, sale mode, and other editable fields.

POS label reassignment

You can now pair labels directly from Shopify POS by scanning a label barcode.

If the scanned label is already connected to another product, Shelva will clearly ask for confirmation before replacing the existing pairing. This makes it easier and safer for store staff to update labels from the sales floor.

Monthly label health reports

Shelva can now send monthly label health reports covering battery levels, pairing status, publish status, and location-specific issues.

These reports help you spot labels that may need attention before they create problems in-store.

More flexible label text controls

Label templates now support more text options, giving you greater control over what appears on your labels.

You can now use fields like vendor, tertiary text, and more flexible variant title options to better match your merchandising needs.

Products page improvements

The products page is now easier to scan when working with multi-variant products.

Variants can now be collapsed into their parent product, helping clean up the products page view and making large product lists easier to scan.

Hardware page improvements

The hardware page now provides more visibility into Hub connection quality.

Hub signal information is now displayed, making it easier to understand connection quality when troubleshooting label publishes.

Improved label design & previews

Label previews are now more accurate across supported templates.

Preview generation better reflects vendor text, tertiary text, variant title settings, and variant-specific secondary text, making it easier to trust what you see before publishing.

Clearer sync history

Instant and scheduled sync history are now easier to understand.

Shelva better groups product and variant updates, reduces duplicate status noise, and makes failed publish attempts easier to identify.

Easier retry actions

Failed label publishes can now be retried more directly from sync history.

This makes it faster to resolve update issues without digging through different parts of the app.

Better product selection in POS

When reassigning a label, POS search now keeps variants grouped with their parent products and includes more context like vendor and parent product information.

This makes it easier to select the right item, especially for stores with many variants.

More reliable label updates

Label updates are now more dependable, especially during rapid product changes.

Shelva handles failed updates more intelligently and avoids outdated retries, helping ensure your labels always reflect the most recent information.

New Monolith label design

A new Monolith label layout is now available, including both standard and sale-ready versions.

This gives you a bold new option for highlighting products and improving in-store merchandising.

Global overrides

You can now apply overrides across all locations at once.

With a single action, set pricing, text, or display overrides for a product globally, without needing to update each location individually. This makes multi-location management significantly faster and more consistent.

Product-specific label designs

You can now assign different label designs to individual products, instead of relying only on one global template.

This makes it easy to highlight certain products with a unique layout while keeping everything else consistent.

You can:

• Use a default design for most products
• Apply custom designs to specific products or variants
• Update designs in bulk across multiple products

Clear "Needs Republish" indicators

Shelva now clearly shows when a label design has been changed but not yet pushed to the physical label.

Products that need republishing are marked with a visible warning, so there's no confusion between what you see in the app and what's currently on the shelf.

This helps prevent missed updates and keeps in-store pricing accurate.

Cleaner label design experience

The label design page has been refined to feel more stable and predictable when switching between designs and sizes.

Settings now stay in sync properly, and the page no longer changes unexpectedly while you're editing.

The experience is also fully responsive on mobile, making quick edits easier on smaller screens.

Simpler template status on Products

The products page now shows template information in a cleaner way:

• Products using the correct design stay unobtrusive
• Only products that need attention show a warning indicator

This reduces visual clutter while still calling out what matters.

Improved navigation

Navigating back from a product or label configuration now reliably returns you to the products page with the correct location and view intact, making multi-location workflows smoother.

This release also includes several stability and usability fixes:

• Label designs now stay consistent when switching templates
• Secondary text settings update correctly during design changes
• Publishing status is more accurate and easier to follow
• Bulk actions behave more predictably
• Mobile layout issues across key pages have been resolved

No action required.

All existing label designs were automatically converted into default templates, and everything continues working as before.

More control over variant labels

You can now choose exactly what appears as secondary text on variant labels.

For products with multiple variants, Shelva lets you decide whether labels show the variant name, description, weight, stock, or SKU. This makes variant-heavy products clearer on the shelf and easier for customers to understand.

Field-level overrides

Overrides are now more flexible and precise.

Instead of overriding everything at once, you can choose exactly which fields to override, such as title, price, compare-at price, secondary text, or QR code, while letting everything else stay in sync with Shopify. This gives you much finer control without breaking automation.

Low battery label alerts

Shelva can now help you spot labels with low batteries.

When enabled, labels with low battery levels will automatically flash, making them easy to identify and replace before they go offline. This helps reduce surprises and keeps displays reliable.

Smarter price display on sale labels

Bold sale templates now automatically adjust large prices so they always fit cleanly on the label.

This prevents overlapping or cut-off prices when dealing with higher price points or sale pricing.

Cleaner label design page

The label design page has been reorganized to make settings easier to find and understand.

Variant secondary text options are clearer, controls are better grouped, and the experience works more smoothly on mobile.

Global label management

You can now manage labels across all locations at once using Global Mode.

This allows you to:

• View and manage labels from every enabled location in a single place
• Easily switch between global and individual location views

Global Mode gives multi-location stores a clearer, more efficient way to manage their labels and products.

Freezer label support

Shelva now supports freezer-rated labels for cold and frozen environments.

Freezer labels are clearly marked throughout the app, making them easy to identify and pair correctly. They can be used across all enabled locations and are kept separate from standard labels to avoid mix-ups. This makes it simple to manage pricing in freezers while keeping everything organized.

Move labels and Hubs between locations

Hardware can now be moved between locations directly inside Shelva.

You can reassign labels or hubs when displays change or stores are reorganized, without needing manual support. Shelva automatically handles the cleanup during moves so everything stays accurate and consistent.

Visible plan limits

Your label plan usage is now clearly displayed on the products page.

You'll see how many labels are currently published compared to your plan limit, with unlimited plans clearly marked. This helps you understand capacity at a glance and plan ahead as your store grows.

Improved hardware page

The hardware page has been redesigned with a larger, clearer table layout.

Labels and hubs are easier to scan, sort, and manage, making day-to-day hardware work faster and less cluttered.

Clearer publishing feedback

When publishing labels, you'll now see clearer progress updates and more helpful success or error messages.

This makes it easier to know what's happening and when a label is fully updated.

This release also includes stability and reliability improvements:

You can now manage which store locations are active inside Shelva without changing anything in Shopify.

Improved text wrapping for Bold templates

Bold templates now handle longer product titles more gracefully. Product names can wrap to two lines when space allows, and font sizing adjusts more intelligently to keep everything clear and readable. Secondary text also adapts better for cleaner layouts across all Bold label sizes.

Expanded shipping options

Label orders can now ship to even more countries across North America, Oceania, and Western Europe.

New font: Lexend Peta

A new, highly readable font option is now available in the label designer. Lexend Peta provides a clean, modern look and works well for stores wanting stronger visibility on shelves.

This update includes several important reliability improvements:

• More consistent location statuses
• Fixed Locations page loading error
• Better sorting that keeps archived locations out of the way
• Improved text wrapping and sizing in Bold templates

New Bold label templates

We've introduced an entirely new Bold label style across all sizes. This template gives your labels a clean, modern look and supports:

The Bold style is designed to help products stand out and improve readability on the shelf.

Simpler label design workflow

We added helpful tooltips throughout the label design page to guide you as you customize. You'll find:

• Tips on font shortcuts
• Guidance on uploading logos
• Cleaner, collapsible test sections

These changes make it easier to create polished labels without guesswork.

Clearer Auto-Sync information

Auto-sync indicators now reflect settings for each location more accurately. It's easier to see whether a location is using instant or scheduled sync and whether auto sync is turned on.

This update also includes several fixes that improve reliability:

Instant product syncing

You can now choose between scheduled syncing or our new instant sync option. When instant sync is enabled, any price or product change in Shopify updates your labels automatically in real time. This keeps your labels accurate without manual action.

For instant sync mode, we've also introduced a new tracking system that shows every product update Shelva receives from Shopify. This gives you a clear view of what changed, when it changed, and whether the update reached your labels.

Improved location management

Locations are now archived instead of deleted. Archived locations stay out of your way in the app but remain available if you ever need them again. This helps keep your store list clean without losing any history.

New font option

We've added Figtree as a new font option in the label design page. Merchants can now select Figtree from the font list when customizing their shelf labels for a fresh, modern look.

Mobile improvements

We fixed several layout issues to make Shelva smoother on mobile:

• Cleaner layout for location banners
• More spacing on key pages

Hardware and Products pages refresh

The hardware and products pages now update every few seconds, giving you near real-time information about your Hubs and labels while you work.

Webhook history redesign

Product update events are now grouped together in a single, easy-to-read card, making it simpler to understand what changed.

Stripe integration - label purchase available

You can now fully purchase and pay for orders for 100 labels or less directly through the app, making it easier to get started with smaller orders.

Updated refund policy

To keep things simple and fair:

• Starter Kits: 100 percent refundable when returned in good condition within 6 months
• Labels & Hubs: 50 percent refundable

All pricing, checkout calculations, and emails have been updated to reflect this.

Updated shipping estimates

Delivery timelines have been adjusted to 3–8 weeks, reflecting current logistics.

While you won't see these directly, they make Shelva faster and more reliable:
